In this Hungarian ghost story with a mystical-realist twist, Irma, who is eight months pregnant, invites her brother and supposed best friend to spend the weekend at the family’s summer cabin. As they process the surprise of Irma’s pregnancy, she reveals something even more startling: she feels she will die the next day. They struggle to cope with this bizarre declaration, unsure of how to respond. Gradually, Irma understands that she must confront her childhood traumas before she can transform into a new role: that of a mother.
